Easter Hall Park Newsletter 2012
What a wet year it has been and sadly with all the rain in the summer this put a stop to our carriage driving event, due to such waterlogged ground we regrettably had to cancel, however we have still had a very busy year and still were able to run nearly all of our scheduled events. We managed to get a day of sunshine for our August show with clear round jumping, poles, dressage and in hand classes with lots of rosettes won. Well done to all those who took part.
As with every year we have had ups and downs, we said a sad farewell to Connie and Simon who both passed away peacefully and will be fondly remembered by all. A tribute to Simon written by Chloe has been posted on our notice board, please do have a read.
However we were very pleased to announce our 2 new arrivals, Easter and King born earlier this year from Topsy and Annie, they have grown very rapidly and have now just been weaned and are doing really well.
This year was a very special year as we had the BBC filming here for “Escape to the Country”, Easter Hall Park is going to be on T.V! Watch this space for the date and time of airing.
We were also lucky enough to be chosen for the “Take Back The Reins” campaign and have run our first course already this year with a new one to start in January, this is for riders and carriage drivers of all ages and abilities either new to the sport or returning.
Congratulations to Abbie and Scott who achieved their UKCC1 and Rachel with UKCC2.
Please do make sure to check our notice board and our Facebook page aswell for all our latest news and activities, they are all updated on a regular basis. You can also find us on yell.com.
Well done to Evie, Charmaine, Charlotte, Sophie.W and Jayfin our pony clubbers who took and passed their ABRS tests recently, including riding and stable management.
We have now introduced a three tier Stable helpers test, senior helpers may now want to upgrade to this.
December 15th is the last day of pony club, times are as normal and will recommence in the new year for the over 10’s and Easter for the under 10’s.
More congratulations go to Rachel for being placed in dressage competitions with Vic and Honky and to Gail and Vic who qualified for the National Championships but didn’t attend the finals.
We would also like to give a very warm welcome to Nadine who has now joined the team.
