Canada Wood is our own sustainably managed 90 acre woodland from which, Canada Wood Products source materials for hand built Canadian style log buildings and smaller products. Holiday visitors can enjoy the tranquil surroundings and direct access to the Tarka Trail.

Canada Wood Products

Canada Wood Products provide beautiful, unique hand built Canadian style log cabins for any purpose from residential to utility buildings such as offices or stables. Smaller products like picnic tables, garden furniture and cedar roofing shingles are also available.

All of our wood is carefully selected from English woodlands, much of it from Canada Wood at Easter Hall Park where we are licensed to fell tress only where replanting is guaranteed thus providing beautiful, unique buildings and products from a sustainable source with a low carbon footprint.

After felling and cutting to the required length, logs for our cabins are prepared by hand by first stripping back the bark. The building then begins by laying the logs on top of one another, a tight seal is maintained between logs by hand scribing the profile of each lower log onto the log above and cutting a profile and groove that locks the logs into position. The building process continues until the walls have reached the required height and window and door openings are then cut.
