The chance to ride around our gorgeous woods (remember to keep and eye out for wildlife!)

Also for more competent riders, a chance to ride on the beautiful Tarka Trail and Devon Wildlife Trust Areas

Sunday 31st July- Camp Show Day

10.00 Ridden Showing, includes ridden part of ride and drive £8

10.30 Driven Dressage £8

11.15 Driven showing, includes driven part of ride and drive £8

12.15 Show jumping £7 per round

2.00 Arena Challenge. For drivers includes cones and obstacles over a timed course. Course to be driven twice, fastest round wins £15

Drivers entering all competitions are entitled to a  flat rate of £32

Saturday 30th July- Camp Day Three

AM- Mock show on showing with Brian Ball for drivers

Riders choose between dressage, cross-country or back stepping training

PM- Driving lessons with Brian Ball pre road assessment test and coachman style driving.

Riders lessons on show prep inc plaiting manes and tails

Back steppers testing

EVE- Chinese evening with a meal cooked by Yang Ping £12. Need to know numbers prior to attending please.

Friday 29th July- Camp Day Two

AM- Driven lessons with Barbara Nadin, dressage and cones.

Lessons on show jumping for riders.

Able bodied whip prep(TBC)

PM- Driven lesson with Nick Palmer or Barbara Nadin on obstacles.

Ridden lesson on dressage

EVE- Food supplied by Phil Nadine. Two menus available. Need to know numbers prior to attending please. £12

Driven Dressage to Music

Driven Dressage FORMThis competition will be open to GWHC, indoor and BDS members.
Anyone wishing to just do the Driven Dressage Competition and not the indoor event answer e.g.: BDS Members can, if they wish, do an untimed cones round at £5.

Please put your e-mail address or send SAE on entries so I can send you a score sheet for you to have an idea of what I am looking for/judging.
Please bring either a CD or tape on the day.
A pilot competition will be run at Duchy College, alongside the indoor event on November 2nd.

Outline rules
 Arena size: 20mx50m;
 Restricted to 6 entries for this Pilot Competition;
 £8 per test;
 First come 1st served basis;
 Test to be between 3/5 minutes long;
 Movements to be included in floor plan:
 Halt and salute at beginning of test at X;
 Walk;
 Working Trot;
 Lengthened/Extended trot;
 15m circle;
 3 loop serpentine from A to C;
 Halt and salute at X at the end of the test.
 Movements can be driven in any order (between the halt and salutes) and unlimited number of times. Each time will be marked and average score for the movement given at the end (collective mark).

Horse Owners Certificate

8 Weeks

Level 1 course suitable for both horse owners and non-horse owners or even for those wishing to purchase a horse in the future.

Course covers:
 basic 1st Aid
 saddlery
 feeding
 worming
 grassland management
 shoeing
 buying a horse
Followed by a revision session and testing on week 8.

Course starts on Saturday 18th October 10:00 a.m.
Note paper and pen required
