Easter Hall Park Driving and Riding Camp

Outline Schedule

Wednesday 30th July

  • Arrive and set up camp;
  • a.m. – Riding assessment;
  • p.m. – Lunging and riding.

Thursday 31st July

  • a.m. The Treck/”Working Equitation” will include a set route driven or ridden on and off site. Short or long routes available;
  • Drivers/riders skills course, consisting of 10 optional tasks;
  • p.m. Clear round cones or cones lesson available;
  • Competency testing.

£27.50 for the day (includes picnic lunch)

Friday 1st August

a.m. – Show jumping Lesson;

p.m. – x-country Lesson.

  • 3/4 hour;
  • Lessons available on driven dressage (practise your test) or obstacles from Barbara Nadine and/or Nick Palmer/Noel Danagher/Luis Mira;
  • £15 or buy 3 for £40;
  • Drive available if desired;
  • Backsteppers training/testing;
  • Pub meal pm at your expense at the local pub.

Saturday 2nd August

  • Includes Ride and Drive. This will be judged as a separate riding class or separate driven showing class with separate and amalgamated prizes where required;
  • Driven and Ridden dressage competitions (tests to be decided);
  • Show jumping competition;
  • Combined marathon – cones competition;
  • BBQ pm cost £10 – Disco Party for Gail and Abbie birthday;
  • 1 hour group sharing lesson £5;
  • Introductory offer for newcomers (horses and drivers): 1 hour to include dressage, cones and 1 or 2 obstacles – £25

9:30 Start

Class 1: Ridden dressage, Intro A (walk and trot only) Prelim 13 (walk trot and canter)

10:00 am

Class 2: Riding class and riding section of “Ride and Drive”

10:30 am

Class 3: Driven dressage, BHDTA novice 2008 or choose your own test

10:30 am

Class 4: Ridden clear round X-Country

11:30 am (approx.)

Class 5: Best whip and driving section of “Ride and Drive”

Entry fee for above classes all at £7.50 each

To follow:

Class 6: Combined marathon – cones, includes cones and obstacles. Drive up to 3 timed rounds.

Entry fee £15.00

Note: For riders there will be a grooming and mucking out inspection daily. This offers accumulative points towards championship rosettes.
